{"id":10001,"date":"2014-06-21T05:54:41","date_gmt":"2014-06-20T21:54:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/josephinesicadphotography.com\/blog\/?p=10001"},"modified":"2014-06-21T14:44:12","modified_gmt":"2014-06-21T06:44:12","slug":"moving-forward","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/josephinesicadphotography.com\/blog\/moving-forward\/","title":{"rendered":"moving forward"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>i haven&#8217;t shed a tear yet. \u00a0 i almost did. or maybe a little. but i keep fighting away the heartbreaking thoughts that we just lost our house where memories of our childhood all started. where all of my parents&#8217; more than their lifetime&#8217;s work have been burned down to ashes. \u00a0in just minutes.<\/p>\n<p>the night it happened (last June 10), \u00a0i was in Singapore and doing our usual grocery shopping. by the time I went home, i received 2 Facebook messages from my cousin and another neighbor friend. \u00a0&#8216;is this a \u00a0joke?&#8217; i thought to myself. \u00a0i immediately dialed out our home number, obviously, trembling. our phone rang and rang. no one answered. \u00a0so i trembled more. i dialed my brother&#8217;s mobile number\u00a0afterwards&#8212; the moment i heard his voice, i felt incredibly relieved. the firefighters were still\u00a0trying to put the fire out. \u00a0 i could hear so much noise in the background. then i heard my Mama crying desperately. \u00a0despite that, i never have felt so happy and at peace. because my Mama, Papa, and my brother were alive and spared from any injury. all my worries were gone in an instant.<\/p>\n<p>i needed to go home. we booked our tickets right away and arrived in Cebu last June 12th. \u00a0it never felt the same now flying back home \u00a0<span class=\"userContent\" style=\"color: #37404e;\" data-ft=\"{&quot;tn&quot;:&quot;K&quot;}\">but i brought\u00a0with me an unwavering faith. I&#8217;ve never seen and felt God&#8217;s love stronger than ever. \u00a0We only lost our &#8216;house&#8217; but not our &#8216;home&#8217;, where our heart is. \u00a0We only lost material things that are far very less important\u00a0than my family&#8217;s lives. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>God will never abandon us. Yesterday is gone..we shall move forward with courage and greater faith.<\/p>\n<p>Our never-ending thanks to all those who&#8217;ve supported us. All your prayerful thoughts are very much appreciated.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s been a week since the fire accident and so far, we&#8217;ve transitioned smoothly.
