Sometimes, you meet people just once, or maybe twice…yet you feel blessed enough knowing you got to meet them even if you might not see them again in this lifetime. Or who knows when again, right?
That was how I felt meeting for the first time and photographing the only Lebanese family I know – The Paolis. I’m grateful that they found out about me thru The Cheng Family. The moment I stepped into their cozy sun-lit home, I felt so welcomed like I’ve known them long enough. Daddy Rudy was one very kind cool dad whom later I found out was passionate into photography too. He showed me his collection of books, some of his amazing works and owns an amazing Leica! Around that time, he was on his way to Japan to join a NatGeo photography expedition — imagine how jealous I was! my jaws dropped in an instant. I dreamed of that someday, too!
So anyway, we enjoyed sharing photography stuff and I got to meet the very beautiful Mommy Yasmina and their too adorable little man. It was really lovely documenting a part of their lives here in Singapore before they left and have moved to Europe few months after we did this shoot. So, I kinda miss them, too.
