I always…always get jealous with my client shoots everytime I do their family portraits. I keep imagining doing it to my own family, too. I keep wishing I did the same shot and that shot to Pixie and all of us three together in one frame. But to photograph your own family and all you have is a tripod and a timer is a different level of challenge. But i did it anyway and despite breaking into a lot of sweat in the process, not that perfect as I imagined, but this turned out as memorable as I hope it would be.
Last weekend our little sunshine turned 2. We had a no-party-celebration. parties can wait when she starts to ask for them (God knows that might be next year or so!). so we just took her alone for some exclusive family time, out to a simple little adventure just us three. And to make it also more meaningful, we are sponsoring a child in honor of Pixie via World Vision Philippines.http://www.worldvision.org.ph/sponsor-child/ Though but little help, we hope it inspires others to do kindness in whichever way.
Someday, when Pixie grows up, I hope she’ll be proud how she celebrated her 2nd birthday this way.
Happy birthday our babylove! We love you beyond words and we are sooo proud of the little sweet girl you’ve become! Here’s to more years of discovering new adventures out there waiting for you!
