Autumn in full bloom in our neighbourhood 😍 🍁

What a full surprise because I didn’t expect to see autumn foliage here in the Central Coast to be honest! Not as many in the Blue Mountains (where we always visit yearly) but still very delighted!

Coco (our 6months old puppy) not in the photos coz he is still recovering from his neutering surgery and left home with Brian 😢 so sadly not a complete family photo)

But I’ve surely missed this time alone with Pixie too. I’m staring at these images and it hit me: goodness, when did Pixie grow up to be like this!????? 😭😭😭

We used to bike a lot together back in Sydney and what a lovely autumn day to be out and getting to know more our neighbourhood streets!

Me: “Pixie, do you know why Mama loves taking photos??
Pixie: ” Yeah, so you won’t forget and keep many memories.”
Me: Awwww, im glad you know. Coz you’re growing up wayyy too fast!!!
Pixie:.. Uhmm but Mama…
Me: Yes??
Pixie: I think sometimes you take wayyyyy too much photos.
Me: 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Sooner Pixie will be taller than me…. 😭😭😭

This time, every year, I usually will haunt all the autumn foliage I can find and drive hours to the BlueMountains to enjoy the enchanting colours there. But with #covid19, we are skipping it this year. However, much to my surprise and delight when I saw there are enough spots to appreciate right in my own neighbourhood.

Oh, Central Coast, grateful to call you our forever home. 🏡

Me: Pixie, why is it not all trees are the same and as beautiful and colourful as the autumn trees?!

Pixie: Well Mama, trees are like people too. We are all different. We have different stages in life. (And goes on and on explaining how to determine the ages of trees and comparing it to people too!)

Me: 🤭🤭🤭😱😱😱

Another autumn spot found. We drove less than 30mins from home to this amazing part of the countryside in Central Coast. It was someone’s private driveway (at Wyong Creek) so probably not a spot to do picnics but it was great enough to take photos and be greeted with beautiful horses that surprised us by the fence.

What a dream!!! How lucky for them to live in a place with a driveway like this!!!! I wish I could actually meet the owners who live there one of these days. 🙂

Brought her notebook coz she’s writing her own chapter book …
