“When you’re at that point, when you feel it’s all pointless… It’s not.
The trick is to just keep doing it, that’s how you succeed in the end. It’s the secret to life,
do anything often enough, and for long enough, and you get good at it. So keep on.
Keep writing. Keep painting. Keep singing. Keep dancing. Keep fighting. Keep. On.”

I’ve seen the movie Jane Eyre countless times now. Both 2006 & 2011 versions. I know. Crazy. If you remember, I’ve drenched myself with those other favorite period movies, too last time. And I’ve been wanting to rummage the bookstore again. Finally, I did about 2 weeks ago and got me a splendid deal of 3 classic books for $10, oh yes baby! But what was I doing in high school, I wondered why I’ve not read these classics yet! Boooo! 🙂 I sure heck remember Jules Verne’s Around the world in Eighty Days though! Anyway, can I tell you a secret (if i haven’t yet?) Sometimes I just stare at them — the books — and smell them. Yes, I smell them like wanting to take a bite too. And the words inside, are like flying out of the pages — and just like that, they easily put extra color into my world. 🙂
Did you notice the book at the bottom, too? I’ve ordered Jose Villa’s book finally last August online but only managed to get my hands on it a few weeks ago. Thanks to my dear friend who brought it along for me so I didn’t have to pay extra shipping costs. Jose Villa is one of the best and great film photographer in the wedding industry today and his visual art has been a great inspiration to me while I’m still starting out, but even though I don’t use film in my own photography (something I’d love to learn more!), there’s a LOT to pick from his brains and years of experience in the field. So, I’m taking time to read every line, highlighting important ideas with a green pen and enriching myself from every thought he’s shared. I tell you, his works — they just blow me away! 🙂
So that’s what’s been filling up my days in between.
And I just wanted to remind myself today to keep on.
KEEP READING. KEEP SHOOTING. KEEP BELIEVING. KEEP INSPIRING. KEEP LOVING. KEEP ON.
And if somehow this message gets to YOU, too — that alone makes me happy. 🙂
Hope your week has started out lovely!
REMINDER: Deadline of submissions on my Giving Back project this coming Nov 20, 2011 11:59pm. Let’s keep it rolling! 🙂
