If there was any Queen of Clumsy competition, today I consider myself crowned with all its glory. Seriously epic of me. Last night, from visiting a friend’s house, I saw my less than a year old mobile phone, favorite and precious, Sony Z3 laying flat in the floor after hearing a shattering sound and just like that, the screen frantically cracked. Note, this wasn’t the very first time I got any of my phones cracked. LOL. Now, utterly inoperable as far as the screen but behind the wrecked, I can still turn it on, push physical buttons (Power and Volume) and even take photos from the camera button which also has a physical button on its own, which was what i totally love about this phone in the first place. I can also still back up everything and connect via USB to access important files.

Then I contemplated should I pay for the replacement of the screen (around $350) or get an upgrade. Both requires obviously taking out an amount of cash I wasn’t willing to shell out…just yet. or why not downgrade to just a phone that can call & text, back to the very basic of it all. Huh!

I suddenly had a cosmic perspective on these not really unfortunate event. My world isn’t gonna end , right? Right. I can finally have more time to focus on being just “present” and not pause to take photos from my phone, which admittedly sometimes unnecessary and time-consuming so I can post to my favorite social media platforms to share to family and friends right away. So maybe, this is a great excuse to break that habit and experience lesser complexities in my own everyday life. (God, I sure will miss Instagramming haha) I still have my laptop and iMac to work on anyway so I’m not entirely off the hook. Not that I want to leave the social media really. I got a pretty perfect reason to set some priorities straight, get unplugged more and honestly, it sounds quite exciting suddenly. Let’s see how this goes in the coming days and weeks then. Wish me luck?!  🙂

Meanwhile, here’s Pixie chasing seagulls on of those beach trips few weeks ago.
Happy Tuesday!
