matt & merica – sydney, australia

I’m stretching up my legs while typing away this post today, ignoring the scatter from Pixie’s playdoughs beneath my chair, put down the current book i’m reading, with  jazzy Christmas songs (it’s that time of the year already???) by Buble playing in the background. A warm cup of mocha coffee would be great by now but maybe later while I’m still whisked away in the moment remembering how thrilled I was to photograph Matthew and Merica earlier in September. (and while I still have a couple minutes to get this done while Pixie is having her afternoon nap.) 

I first had a chat encounter with Merica on that 2nd night when we first moved here in Sydney. We were happily introduced by Clara, whose wedding I photographed in 2011 back in Singapore. Looking back then, I’ve been more than delighted to shoot my first official engagement portraits in Sydney. Matt is from Singapore while Merica is from Vietnam, both have met during their University days in Sydney. I was purely exhilarated just taking snaps here and there because, really, Matt & Merica are just superbly lovely and sweet to photograph too.

I’ll always be grateful for every time people get infront of my camera and in return, I make memories for them.
