“I have hated words and I have loved them, and I hope I have made them right.”
— Markus Zusak

Last night, I finished reading ‘The Book Thief”…while on my way home, on the train, between traffic lights and while walking (you see, I can be pretty good at reading while walking and never stumble at anything…not yet so far! hehe)….and then, I had to stop, everything around me sort of stopped , too and in a slow motion as it felt like, I flipped on that last page, under a lamp post, few blocks away yet from our apartment. I deeply sighed and felt my heart squeezed. Like how squeezed it was when husband left for a business trip in Sydney last Sat night and wishing terribly he gets back home soon. =)

This book was life-changing in many ways. Probably as life-changing as ‘The Diary of Anne Frank’. I knew her story but I haven’t read the book yet. So anyway, I have just picked ‘The Book Thief’ up at Barnes & Noble last July during my CA trip inspired from Jasmine Star’s recommendation. I asked the lady at the bookstore if they had a copy and she told me to go to the Young Adult section. And I thought why would it be categorized there but I bought it anyway. To be honest, I’ve been slow at reading this (actually really slow in general that I have few more books from my shelf already screaming ‘pick me pick me!’) but it wasn’t until I’ve reached the 204th page that I couldn’t put down this book anymore. And in the end, it was all heartbreaking but heartwarming all at the same time. It’s one of those books that make you miss your favorite characters in the story.  And now, I’m hungry as the book thief  to eat more words.

So tell me, what book are you currently reading now? =)

Happy Monday!
